| The mission of Bill Rhynes Ministries is to share a message of Love, in keeping with Christ's greatest commandments... Matthew 22:36-40 (New International Version) "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." We believe the doctrine of shame is over emphasized and results in alienation and resentment from a world that doesn't need one more group making them feel bad about themselves. This only serves to alienate more potential believers. In no way should this concept be confused with the act of shrugging one's responsibility to know and to love the creator with all one's heart and to neglect one's relationship with God by not being mindful of our hearts our thoughts, words and actions as well as the paths we walk. We sincerely believe and attest that guilt and excessive self-defeating and self-destructive emotional habits are debilitating to the believer and steal ones focus away from God and places it squarely upon the self (right where you-know-who wants it!) Christ told us to love God and one another. He said this above all. |
